I find it best to slide the shrink tube over the wire and then solder the wire in the the cup just below the crimp area of the tube with as little solder as possible. Crimp the wire over the insulation on the wire and slide the shrink tube over the clip and heat shrink it onto the clip. Caution: Using too much solder wont allow you to slide the the tube over the clip. You can also shorten the clip if desired by breaking off the crimp portion leaving the cup, and repeating the above. This wire has the same outer diameter as the OEM wire used in the Technics SL1200, and other high end turntables.
