All of the components required to replace all of the fixed capacitors and fixed resistors in the RCA 9ED1HE & 9ED1JF RS170C amplifier. 2. All of the resistors are bagged, and, labeled individually to match the schematic. The capacitors are listed individually with part numbers, values, and schematic designations. 3. A photocopy of the schematic for your record player. Reasons to purchase your kit from us: * I’ve been selling vintage vacuum tube, record player amplifier, rebuild kits on eBay for over 6 years. Our resistors will dissipate more heat so your amp will run cooler. Be careful, when selecting components for your restoration. Do not use kits with, or small size resistors designed, and used for solid state devices. They will not withstand the voltages generated by vacuum tube devices. * We use tubular 630 volt metalized polypropylene and metalized polyester film capacitors with axial leads. metal-foil polypropylene, metalized polyester orange dips, and ceramic disc capacitors. These capacitors are advantageous because of their small size, high insulation resistance, current carrying capability, good capacitance stability, and they are self healing. * We use Electrolytic capacitors with long axial or radial leads and, working voltages, ideal for repairs and restorations of devices with vacuum tubes. Our components will match or have closer tolerances than the original component * We use the FIFO (first in first out) method when picking components for your order to assure that you are getting the freshest components that we have available. This is particularly important with Electrolytics, you won’t have to be concerned that you’ll be getting new old stock, or items that have been on the shelf for years. Please note in first gallery photo that the tone arm wiring has been upgraded to twisted wire that has the black ground wire entwined with the right channel red wire and the left channel white wire. This will minimize hum, noise, and electromagnetic interference. The theory is you will have a cancellation of opposing magnetic fields in each of the channel wires which will result in minimal amplification byour amplifier. I am offering this cartridge with two LP/LP (Plays 45/45) stylus (needles) for a variety of RCA Record players and others that utilize RP 190 record changers. The cartridge wires are preinstalled to the cartridge as shown in the gallery photos, and it is mounted in a block that provides perfect alignment of the stylus to the center of the tonearm. It rides low in the tonearm to allow the record changer to play up to 15 records depending on the record thickness and condition. Some adjustment of pick up height adjustment (lowering the tonearm) may be required. The cartridge clips that come with this kit are modern and not like the 70 or so years old your original clips and wiring has. You will receive instructions with this kit, and you will have 2 options for installation. The Tonearm is not included and is for illustration only. 1. Preferred: Remove all of your existing tonearm wiring and install the new wiring included in this kit. This will require some basic soldering at the mute switch. 2. You can remove the clips on your existing wiring, splice and solder on a section of the new wiring with clips onto your existing wiring. This cartridge plays stereo records stereo and mono records in mono in mono. See the list of models below. Other brands will be added.
