I believe many people face this issue. Many people try to resolve this by using sprays like “Deoxit.”. However, only a few know the unwanted consequences this can have. I’ve recorded a video on this topic.
Used set of potentiometers for pitch (speed) adjustment on a Technics SL-1500 turntable. Have been cleaned with deoxit. This part was removed from a turntable that was missing OTHER parts, therefore has not been tested and must be sold AS IS with NO GAURANTEES. Pots are in good shape cosmetically and have been cleaned using Deoxit.

Up for sale here is this brand new Alpha 1k ohm linear taper potentiometer. This is a perfect replacement for the two speed control potentiometers in the Pioneer PL-51, PL-55X, PL-71, and other similar Pioneers. The old potentiometers wear out, so the smartest thing to do is to use this to replace the old one. I would recommend replacing both at the same time. The shaft is slightly shorter than the original, but just barely, and the knob will still fit on it. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18, no matter what quantity you buy.
