Pat’s Audio PSX7 Record Size Selector Lever for the Sony PS-X5, PS-X6, PS-X7 turntable models. Our part has been expertly designed and fabricated to the same dimensions as the original. We use this in our shop when repairing these Sony models. The original lever fails over time as the plastic shrinks disabling or confusing the auto start function of the tonearm. This lever attaches to a rod which indexes the tonearm with auto starting. The Sony service manual (not included but available online at various locations such as vinylengine.com) provides simple, clear instructions including a diagram showing how to access this lever and how to properly orient its position on the shaft when securing. It is advised when replacing the record size selection lever also perform general maintenance by cleaning, exercising, and lubricating the other auto start and stop mechanical linkages in the sub-chassis of the turntable.
