We first introduced our line of improved AR XA arm rest designs over 6 years ago and they have proven to be the highest quality and most popular replacements available. Our arm rest is the same height as the original but this model features a square support base that greatly improves stability. We also carefully redesigned the cradle to keep the tone arm secure. Our design is stylish while preserving the Acoustic Research look. Our arm rest sits flush on the top plate with the aid of an offset boss. It is secured with a screw and washer in the pre-drilled/tapped hole which is stronger than the original threaded stem/nut configuration.
